Festival 2010 in Review

Our ninth Pershore Festival. We have taken on board all the suggestions we have received through our questionnaires and put a lot of them into motion. The re-siting of the marquee proved our biggest success with festival goers finding it much easy to wander between venues.

The Friday night pre-festival 'club night' exceeded our attendance expectations, This is where the marquee came into it's own as we were able to raise the flaps and accommodate all. Luckily the rain held off and the jazz, Richard Leach's 7 Stars with guests, including amongst others Alan Barnes and John Hallam set the high tone for the rest of the weekend.

If you came this year you may have noticed that the long-awaited en-suite B&B were all but finished and will be available next year.

Below are a few of the emails we received.

Well Done once again - a fabulous festival which seems to go from strength to strength. We'll definitely see you again next year -- God willing!

Yet again, we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Pershore. The jazz was great, the accommodation clean and comfortable, the food delicious and the atmosphere was superb. A huge pat on the back to all organisers and volunteers.

Amy George JamesWe have just returned from our first visit to Pershore Jazz Festival. We had an excellent time, there was a very friendly atmosphere to the Festival and (although I am sure it can't be true) none of the stewards or officials seemed stressed. The venue was excellent, the range of Jazz was impressive and the facilities of the College were used to good effect. We hope to be with you again next year. Jim & Jean W

I wanted to let you know how much 4 friends & I enjoyed the Jazz Festival on Sunday! We loved the variety of music & the humour which went with it, the proximity of everything & good prices for food/drink. I thought it was great to involve your twin German town and particularly enjoyed the warmth, wit & skill of Ivory & Gold - a v different kind of act. Glad to see the Tenth Festival is already on the cards and thanks very much for all the hard work involved with this year's Festival. Pippa A

We would just like to thank you for hosting a particularly successful and well organised Festival, I daren't think how much effort goes into organising it. It is an event that we wouldn't like to miss in future, - sorry - looks like you've "got a tiger by the tail". - WELL DONE. Bob &. Maggie E

Festival 2010

Sunday parade

Slightly inclement weather for the parade, the brollies really did come in useful. Still there was a good turnout and it got the festival off to a jolly start.
