An excellent session with this wonderful band of musicians of the highest quality which finished beautifully our 2023 jazz programme

Their Harlem & Dixieland style repertoire also included some Christmassy numbers fitting for the time of year. We heard individual features and vocals with a great assortment of tunes. Allen’s feature was Lady of the Evening, a Wild Bill Davison composition and Richard played a beautiful version of Stardust dedicated to his grandad. Brian’s feature was My Mother’s Eyes followed by a medley of tunes from Dave on keyboard. It is no surprise that this band’s performance was rated one of the best sessions of the year by the audience
